Caribtours managing director Paul Cleary is running the London Marathon this Sunday.
He will be raising money for ASPIRE, a charity that carries out invaluable work in helping and supporting those afflicted by life changing spinal injury.
He said: “Running 26 miles is a daunting prospect. My preparations are in full swing with 5am starts and heart-breaking 20 mile long distance runs before breakfast, but it will all be worth it when I cross the finishing line on Sunday.
“The work of ASPIRE is vitally important as they help people adjust to their new lives, buying lightweight wheelchairs and providing both counselling and support.”
