CARTA gets interactive with Net initiative for members


The Campaign for Real Travel Agents has developed its own Web site with an interactive map highlighting CARTAmembers in the customer’s area.



Developed by Phil Cornelius of CARTAagent Ryedale Travel, the realholiday.co.uk site explains what CARTAis and outlines the benefits of using CARTA agents.



It also features links to other useful sites such as the Foreign Office Travel Advice Unit. The site also has an intranet for the estimated half of CARTA’s 300 agent members which have access to the Internet.



The initiative is being promoted via CARTA’s point of sale material such as brochure stickers and window posters.



Cornelius is also offering to develop CARTAagents own Web presence for £125 plus a £25 annual hosting fee.
