Tailor Made Travel, sister brand of the Titan Travel Group, has closed following a 30-day consultation period.
A statement on their website said: “Tailor Made Travel, a division of Acromas Holidays, will not be taking any new bookings from May 9, 2013.
“All existing bookings will be operated as normal by a dedicated team of Tailor Made Travel staff, and remain protected under the Acromas Holidays Atol certificate.”
The consultation followed a strategic review of the business, which specialised in bespoke holidays to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, acquired by parent company Acromas Holidays in 2009.
Speaking to Travel Weekly when the consultation was first announced, a spokesman for Acromas, said the decision would “not be taken lightly”.
He added: “It’s a difficult conversation to have with staff and we are committed to treating people properly.”
