Factfile: Shelley’s toughest challenges

SHELLEY’S TOUGHEST CHALLENGES

It normally takes 24hrs to get a slot for a private aircraft to take off from a commercial airport, but when a Boeing 747 lost an engine, he managed to secure three executive jets for his stranded clients. Within 1hr Sean obtained clearance for the flights from New York JFK to Kentucky.

Two top jockeys needed to fly from Los Angeles to Rome for an important race meeting at the last minute. Shelley arranged for them to take a scheduled flight to Heathrow and then jump in a helicopter to Luton. From there they chartered a Lear jet to Rome. They arrived 5mins before the start of the race.

At present, one of Shelley’s greatest challenges is to find a venue in Madeira for a top client, who wants to fly in 50 people from all over the world to celebrate his wedding. Sounds simple? Not when the client is insisting on getting married on January 1 2000.
