Advantage appoints TravLaw as trustees of AMS

Travel industry legal specialist TravLaw has been appointed by Advantage as independent trustees to oversee the Advantage Managed Services trust accounts.

Travel agent members of AMS provide consumers and suppliers with financial protection as Advantage holds an accredited body Atol, is fully Abta bonded, and all customer money is held in the trust accounts.

Travlaw will have full access to the AMS back office product plus online access to its trust accounts.

Advantage Travel Centres head of financial operations Paul Nunn said: “Travlaw has a proven track record in overseeing and managing trust accounts in the travel industry – an important factor in deciding to create this partnership.

“This arrangement reinforces our commitment to client money protection and we firmly believe that AMS gives customers and suppliers the very best protection.

“Advantage is a fully bonded member of Abta, backed with a truly credible and robust trust account model that is fit for future compliance with industry regulations.”

Travlaw partner Sarah Lacy said: “We have been very impressed with the structure and general good practice of this managed service model and look forward to assisting in keeping AMS at the forefront of client money protection and trade body compliance in the coming years.”
