Joanna Edmunds to leave Kuoni

Joanna Edmunds is to leave Kuoni as part of a restructure which sees UK managing director Derek Jones take charge of the group’s specialist brands.

The shake up follows the tour operating group’s decision to pull out of five European countries, removing the need for a centralised, pan-European operational role.

Edumunds joined the company five years ago as managing director  and became senior vice president of procurement and production for outbound Europe in September 2011.

In a statement the company said: “Kuoni wishes her well and thanks her for her strong leadership and direction.”

Kuoni’s head of e-business and publishing Matt Rooke has also left the business to pursue new opportunities following the shake-up

Jones’ remit now extends to Kuoni’s specialist brands, including Kirker Holidays, Carrier, Voyages Jules Verne, CV Travel, and Journeys of Distinction. He remains MD of Kuoni in the UK. The specialist brands will continue to be managed on a day-to-day basis by Francis Torrilla, who will now report into Jones.

Other changes include the appointment of Andrew Pozniak, Kuoni’s head of online/mobile in its outbound division, to the leadership team as vice president sales and marketing. He will be responsible for shaping the strategic approach to sales and marketing.

Helen Roberts, head of business to consumer sales, and Amanda Darrington, head of business to business sales, will both report into Pozniak, as will head of marketing Naomi Wilkinson.

Wendy Kenneally, who has worked at Kuoni for 24 years, will join Kuoni’s UK leadership team as vice president purchasing and customer experience while Darren Grahame-Betts becomes the new head of customer experience, reporting into Kenneally.
