Arrests after UK teen stabbed in Marmaris

Two men are reported to have been arrested after the stabbing of a British teenager in the Turkish resort of Marmaris.

The 17-year-old was discovered in a garden in the Tepe district early on Tuesday morning.

The teenager was placed in the intensive care unit of Marmaris State Hospital after suffering at least 10 stab wounds, the Daily Mail reported.

He was staying at the Ali Baba Hotel with his brother and mother where they are thought to have been on holiday.

It comes as two British men died after drowning at different beaches in the Olundeniz district.

It has been reported that the incidents all occurred within 24 hours of each other on Turkey’s southern coast, according to the newspaper.

Turkey attracts more than 2.5 million British tourists a year.
