EasyJet adds five winter routes

Capacity is to rise by 190,000 seats after easyJet announced the introduction of new winter flights to Bucharest, Larnaca, Venice, Lyon and Tenerife from Gatwick, Luton, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle.

The Romanian capital will be served from Gatwick four times a week from October 17 with Larnaca flights running from Liverpool twice a week from November 2.

Twice-weekly flights to Tenerife will operate from Newcastle from November 6 with fares starting at £28.49 one way.

Manchester will gain a link to Lyon from December 14 while four Luton flights a week to Venice start on February 13 next year costing £33.49 one way

UK director Paul Simmons said: “We’ve already carried nearly 34 million passengers from across our network of 11 UK bases in the past year and we are hugely excited to be in a position to expand our destinations further to offer more choice to our customers this winter.
