Flybe aircraft are to be offered to charter by tour operators from this winter.
Air Charter Service has signed an exclusive deal to sell capacity on the regional carrier’s fleet of Dash 8s and Embraer 175 and 195s.
Clients are expected to include winter sun and cruise companies.
ACS commercial jets director Matt Purton said: “Being able to utilise one of the most modern fleets in service is good news for all involved and will greatly benefit both our client bases.
“We will be able to offer to the tour operator market in the UK and Europe a cost effective option for from regional airports to a variety of winter and summer hotspots, especially to destinations where larger aircraft simply are not economical.”
He added: “The deal was a natural progression in our working relationship with Flybe as they value service quality as highly as we do. We see this combination of service and operating efficiency as the two factors that will grow the amount of flying undertaken in this sector by Flybe.”
The airline’s sales director Stephen Hobday said: “We are delighted to be working with ACS and very much look forward to benefiting from their expertise, service levels and understanding of our business, all of which are critical to a successful relationship for both partners and customers alike.
“We look forward to growing our tour operator business in conjunction with our new partner.”
