Live in-flight entertainment at 30,000ft is to be provided on selected Virgin Atlantic Little Red domestic flights.
‘Little Red LIVE’ starts with a series of stand-up gigs during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival followed by live music in September.
The carrier plans to give a high-flying atage to a series of rising stars on flights from Heathrow to Edinburgh and Manchester.
Comedy acts travelling to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival will provide live stand-up in the sky before they land and take the stage.
A series of secret acoustic music gigs will run in September, paying homage to the music scenes in Scotland and Manchester.
Acts will be announced soon through Virgin Atlantic’s Facebook and Twitter channels, but flight details will remain a secret.
Virgin Atlantic founder and president Sir Richard Branson said: “We launched Virgin Atlantic Little Red to shake up domestic flying in the UK and this latest activity highlights why our customer service is second to none.
“In true Virgin Atlantic spirit we’re doing something a little different and providing our passengers with a line-up of gigs to ensure we offer a truly unforgettable flying experience on Little Red.”
