Carlson Wagonlit Travel wins sustainability award

Carlson Wagonlit Travel UK has won recognition for its sustainable working practices.

The travel management company is the first to receive the GBTA Project ICARUS Gold Medal award, which acknowledges companies making sustainability a core function within their business, and providing best-in-class sustainability programmes.

Bernard Harrop, head of sustainability, Project ICARUS, said: “We were impressed with the standard of CWT’s application, particularly the leadership shown in innovation, industry collaboration and addressing customer needs, and we are delighted to award CWT Gold Medal status.”

CWT UK market strategy, business services and sustainability senior director Sandy Moring said: “We are pleased to have our responsible business efforts recognised by Project ICARUS as a result of initiatives across our entire business, and this award furthers our commitment to leading the way for our industry and clients.”
