Carnival Cruise Lines halves single occupancy rates

The price of single occupancy cabins is being halved by Carnival Cruise Lines in an effort to entice solo travellers.

The cuts cover an unspecified range of cruises and gives a lead-in of £159 for a four-day Bahamas sailing in an ocean view cabin.

Cruise-only rates for inside cabins start at £359 for a 6-day Mexican Riviera itinerary.

UK managing director Adolfo Perez said: “Our cruises provide people with some of the most memorable experiences of their lives, whether they’re travelling as a family or by themselves.

“With this promotion effectively halving the room charge for single occupancy, we look forward to welcoming any independent adventurers who enjoy travelling alone.”
