New route from Luton to Moldova announced

Chisinau, the capital city of Moldova, is to be served by flights from Luton.

Romanian airline Carpatair is to start a twice-weekly service from December 19 using a 148-seat Boeing 737-300.

Tickets, starting at £103 including taxes, will be available via GDS’s and Iata travel agencies.

Flights will operate on Thursdays and Sundays.

Luton airport airline development manager Simon Harley said: “This will be our first service to the Republic of Moldova and to be able to launch a new destination with yet another new carrier choosing to come to London Luton is testament to the airport’s convenient location and efficient operations.”
