Agents’ reaction: Disney Wonder

Name: Jane Donnely.

Age: 38.

Job title: agency owner.

Agency: Just Cruises, Chichester, West Sussex.

Comments: “Stunning! I liked the rich colours and decor in the main atrium with the grand piano. I didn’t expect to see a sweeping staircase. Each public room was very well thought out and had its own ambience. I expected Disney Wonder to be very Disney with Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters and statues appearing at every corner. What we saw was very well designed and very subtle. The children’s facilities were outstanding with plenty of activities and lots of space.

What customers will you target: “Families and couples who are true Disney fans and don’t mind sharing their holiday with lots of children.”

Name: Terri Fosse.

Age: 48.

Job title: agency manager.

Agency: Bath Travel, Totton, Southampton.

Comments: “I thought it would be a lot brighter, but it’s been done so subtly. I really liked the black and white restaurant which turns colourful during your meal – Animator’s Palate. The Disney theme parks aren’t on the beach, so if customers want to get to the sea they have to go somewhere like Tampa. Now they can go on the cruiseline.”

What customers will you target: “The ideal target market is parents who have been to the Disney theme parks a couple of times and want something different, but their children still want Disney.”
