RCL Cruises upgrades agent booking system

Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises have upgraded their global reservation system.

The cruise line said it is now easier and faster to search on the system, which will provide more targeted and relevant cruise options for agents.

The updated system will also automatically apply promotions when launched.

The new system is available now, and to support the launch and bring agents up to speed the three lines are starting an extensive sales and training blitz.

The training and sales team have been calling on agents from key agencies to educate them on the system through face to face sessions or using virtual classroom training sessions.

A new module and vodcast will also be made available online at Cruising for Excellence, containing all the information agents need about how to make a booking and the changes to the booking system.

Nicki Tempest-Mitchell, head of trade sales, said: “The huge investment we’ve made is exciting news for all travel agents.

“Providing agents with the best tools to ensure that they can sell with confidence and ease has always been extremely important to us.

“With these improvements, agents will have the peace of mind that they are providing customers with the absolute best value possible.

“Our improved tools, coupled with the dedicated online training support and visits from our sales and training teams will be a huge boost to agents.”

The system streamlines the fare search process to return the best available fare.
