Luftner Cruises’ Rudi Joham has told delegates at Clia’s River Cruise Convention in Cologne that ‘the best is yet to come’ for river cruise.
Joham, senior vice president, worldwide business development, said he believed the best years of river cruising were yet to arrive and that currently the industry was just building product.
“River cruise is here to stay,” he said. “It isn’t a trend. River cruise has a long history and it is maturing.
“New rivers will come online. Right now is not the ultimate, there is more to come.
“The best is yet to come for river cruise.”
He said that while products were established, new and exciting concepts would launch into market.
He said Luftner would continue to work closely alongside travel agents, adding that the line would launch a new online booking portal in the next six months to make the process easier.
