Travel Uni on the up as trade gets training

Travel Uni has had a record month for new registrations.

Travel Weekly’s training partner, which offers more than 90 online courses at Traveluni.com, said more than 1,570 new students have signed up to its programmes in the last three weeks.

The company recently launched five courses covering Serbia, Barbados, the Red Sea, Grenada and the Caribbean, and revamped its ‘how to sell’ section.

Associate director Sally Oakey said: “Agents recognise the importance of building their product knowledge to enhance sales and we are constantly working to finetune our design to make it easier for them to access the information they need through our site.”

The new programmes now include key selling points, “honeypot” sights, hidden gems and itinerary ideas,
in addition to destination descriptions and factual information.

The new Caribbean Training Guru site, launched at World Travel Market with the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, covers all destinations in the region and links training to a range of incentives.
