Carnival Cruise Lines to help agents beat the January blues

Carnival Cruise Lines is to give away a Caribbean cruise every day to agents throughout January in its new ‘Beat The January Blues’ turn-of-year campaign.

The line will conduct a prize draw every evening next month.

Every agent who has made a Carnival Cruise Lines booking that day will be entered into the nightly draw and the winner announced the following morning.

Marketing director Erin Johnson told Travel Weekly: “This is the first time we have ever done anything of this scale before.

“But if agents think the Caribbean we want them to think Carnival, and we believe the best way to immerse themselves in that association is to understand what our Caribbean cruises are all about.”

Any Carnival booking for next year qualifies, and agents will have a list of three, four, five, six and seven-night cruise holidays to choose from as their prize, sailing from a number of departure ports.

The cruise prizes are cruise-only and do not include flights. Agents must take their cruises before the end of May.

Johnson said prices for a seven-night Caribbean sailing started at £399 cruise-only for an October departure.

“These are some of the lowest prices we have offered and we want agents to understand what amazing value a Carnival Cruise offers,” she said.

Previous Carnival Cruise Lines ‘wave’ periods have seen the line’s individual regional sales managers offering smaller incentives with their own accounts.

But Johnson said that this time it wanted agents all over the UK to be “immersed in what we are all about – the cruiseline for the Caribbean”.
