An independent operator is pledging to give £100,000 to agents in January as it launches a trade reward scheme.
USAirtours is replacing its points-based agent incentive on January 1 with a new scheme enabling agents to earn money on a Debit MasterCard.
Agents need to register for the card, then USAirtours will load on £20 for every booking they make in January 2014.
Chief executive Guy Novik said: “Most operators give away Love2shop vouchers but there are restrictions on where you can use them; MasterCard can be used anywhere – including overseas.
“It’s HMRC-approved so we prepay the tax and national insurance. And we pay £20 however the booking is made, not like others who offer £10 for an online booking or £5 for one over the phone,” he said.
“I would love to give agents £100,000 via these cards in January. That would be 5,000 bookings.”
