Tributes paid to Simon Myers

Tributes have been paid to Simon Myers who was today described as a “lovely guy who was the life and soul of the party”.

Myers died aged 48 on Friday after a short stay in hospital. His funeral was held on Sunday at the Bushey United Synagogue in Hertfordshire.

Gary Collins, head of travel at Goodman Associates, knew Myers for more than 15 years after the two began working together at Conrad Advertising. Myers went on to work at Conrad for 15 years before starting work as a freelancer for the agency in 2010.

Collins said: “He was just a really lovely guy who was the life and soul of the party.

“I’ve known him since 1997 and I’ve always knew him to be telling jokes, especially at conferences. He would know everyone there and they would all know him. He was very well thought of.

“The funeral was very well attended; there were people outside the doors because they couldn’t get in.

“That shows the kind of man he was.”
