MSC Cruises to sail in Asia and Australia for the first time

MSC Cruises will visit Asia and Australia for the first time in 2015.

MSC Orchestra will sail on an all-inclusive Grand Voyage from Dubai to Perth, Australia, calling at Asia along the way. The line has sailed from Dubai before, but it will be MSC’s first time calling in all of the countries featured on the new itinerary.

The 33-night cruise will depart on February 21, stopping in Mumbai and Cochin, India; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Langkawi, Malaysia; Singapore; and Benoa, Bali.

The Australia stops include Cairns; Brisbane; Sydney; Melbourne; Adelaide and Fremantle (Perth). The calls in Singapore and Sydney are overnight stays.

Giles Hawke (pictured), managing director for the UK and Ireland, said passengers had been asking for a new itinerary.

He said: “It’s fantastic that we can offer our agents and customers brand new ports of call for MSC Cruises. We have had a number of our past passengers asking for an itinerary which will take them to the Far East and Australia and this gives them exactly what they are looking for.

“When we issue the prices we are expecting a lot of interest from many markets and we know that a number of UK agents will see this as a great selling opportunity for a high value fare, to build their own unique packages and to excite their customers on the international high quality product which MSC Cruises offers.”
