Mauritius braced for arrival of tropical storm

Tropical Storm Bejisa is forecast to hit Mauritius today on after battering the Indian Ocean island of La Reunion yesterday.


Damage to homes and flash flooding is expected with winds gusting over 120 miles an hour, the BBC reported.


The island of La Reunion recorded more than 9 inches of rain in 36 hours as Bejisa passed by.


About 100,000 people in Mauritius are expected to be impacted by the storm.
