A range of additional learning opportunities designed to help agents boost their sales of cruise holidays is being offered by Clia UK & Ireland.
The organisation is introducing new initiatives and resources this month via cruiseexperts.org.
Clia’s revamped signature course ‘Oceans of Opportunity’ is being unveiled on Friday (February 14) featuring refreshed content, new interactive games, videos and quizzes.
The association is also introducing two new river cruising courses within its Learning Academy covering European and worldwide cruising.
With more than 20 river cruise boats being launched this year, Clia is offering agents a quarterly River Cruise Bulletin providing news, trends and product innovations by member river cruise lines.
Other initiatives within the new look members’ area include a new sector update on family cruising, accompanied by a downloadable guide exclusively for Clia members.
Agents will also have access to in-depth articles on trends and opportunities plus a new video wall.
Clia UK & Ireland director Andy Harmer said: “We are committed to supporting our members with excellent training, online learning, relevant and up-to-date resources, and interactive and inspirational events.
“Together with introducing brand new modules, we have revitalised all other content to ensure our courses continue to reflect recent developments within our industry.
“With a record number of cruise holidays taken last year, there really are great opportunities for agents to increase their business and knowledge is key.”
The association is introducing a series of new evening workshops entitled ‘Kick Start Your Cruise Sales’ which combine training and opportunities to network with of Clia member agents.
Clia UK & Ireland is also planning for the 8th Selling Cruise Conference on May 22-23 in Southampton which will feature a new ‘Experience’ trade fair together with conference sessions, a sail away party and a full day of ship visits.
The association’s training has been accredited by City & Guilds with almost 5,200 agents now active on its learning platform.
