Luton gains daily flights to Istanbul

New daily flights to Istanbul are to run from Luton airport this summer.

Turkish airline Atlasjet is to start the service on May 2 with fares starting at £148 return including taxes.

Atlasjet provides connections via Istanbul to Ercan in North Cyprus, Gaziantep, Antalya and Izmir in Turkey, as well as to Tehran, Tbilisi and Nizhnekamsk.

Airport business development manager Simon Harley said: “We look forward to welcoming Atlasjet to Luton airport, further expanding our extensive list of destinations, providing customers with choice, great value and convenience.”

Atlasjet ground operations director Yuksel Atak said: “We are delighted to connect London Luton to Istanbul with our new flights and look forward to welcoming passengers on board to experience our commitment to customer service and all that Istanbul has to offer.”
