Kuoni promotion targets first-time cruisers

A high visibility cruise and stay holiday promotion goes live today (Monday) across Kuoni’s high street shops in a bid to attract first-time cruisers.

Shop windows will feature dedicated visuals and in-store point-of-sale with a headline message of ‘incredible destinations, combined with luxurious ships’ for a month.

A stay and cruise booklet highlighting cruise line participants has been produced for customers to pick up in store.

These include Celebrity Cruises, Azamara, Seabourn, Cunard, Crystal, Regent, Star Clippers and Compagnie du Ponant.

The booklet features selected stay and cruise itineraries and highlights Kuoni’s ability to create a tailormade holidays,

A new cruise section has been added to the Kuoni website, and 14 pages are dedicated to stay and cruise in the operator’s Worldwide brochure.

Managing director Derek Jones said: “We felt this was the right time to put cruise centre stage throughout our retail network.

“It’s been a big part of our turn-of-year marketing campaign, but now the sale has come to an end we wanted to do something with high impact to give it stand out on the high street.”

He added: “We soft launched stay and cruise in November following an intensive training programme for staff, so we’ve had it on sale for a few months now.

“Our team are now confident selling ships either as stand-alone cruises or as part of a broader worldwide itinerary, which is where our expertise lies. We’ve seen some fantastic bookings come through, but now we want to step it up a gear and take it to the next level.

“The new campaign is about bringing new customers to the cruise market.

“We have many thousands of loyal Kuoni customers, many who book with us time and time again, so this new campaign is designed to inspire customers who may not have previously considered a cruise as part of their holiday experience before.”
