Clia launches dedicated Selling Cruise Conference website

Clia UK and Ireland has launched a new website dedicated to the Selling Cruise Conference.

The website, cliauk.co.uk, is going live today and will offer tickets for the event for sale and be updated with all the news about the conference as it is announced.

The conference is being held on May 22 and 23 in Southampton, with the option of an additional ship visit day on May 24.

Andy Harmer, director of Clia UK and Ireland, said: “The launch of our event website allows it to become the place where delegates and those considering attending can go to find out about speakers, accommodation, ship details, things to do in Southampton and indeed all of the news about the Selling Cruise Conference as it is announced.

“The site is also mobile and tablet compatible, so anyone travelling to the event can also keep updated on everything live and as it happens.

“It is a great platform to showcase the many cruise lines and sponsors supporting the event without whom we would not have a Selling Cruise Conference.

The theme for this year’s conference, held in association with Travel Weekly, is Make It Happen.

The first day of the event includes a trade fair and conference sessions, followed by a Sail Away Party in the evening. The speakers for the conference sessions are yet to be announced.

The second day of the conference is a ship visit day, with Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, Royal Caribbean International’s Adventure of the Seas and Princess Cruises’ Ruby Princess all in port.

MSC Opera and Celebrity Eclipse will also be in port on the optional third day for agents to explore.

Last year’s event sold out, and Harmer has encouraged agents who wish to attend to buy their tickets early. Tickets for the conference can be bought on the new website.
