Norwegian Epic winter itineraries revealed

Norwegian Epic will sail to the Canary Islands, Morocco and the western Mediterranean during its 2015-16 winter season out of Barcelona.


The ship will be based in Europe year-round from April next year, initially operating seven-night western Mediterranean sailings.


From November 29, 2015, to April 7, 2016, the ship will sail 10-day Canary Islands and Morocco itineraries and six, 10, 11 and 12‑day western Med cruises.


“Norwegian Epic is the perfect ship to bring to Europe year-round and the ship’s new Europe itineraries are sure to be a hit among cruisers looking to explore this spectacular part of the world,” said Norwegian Cruise Line chief executive Kevin Sheehan.


“These new itineraries provide exciting experiences and sights for our guests, while giving them a chance to spend more time exploring more of the beautiful cities that Europe is known for.”


The ship’s Canary Island and Morocco itineraries will visit Tangier, Las Palmas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Funchal and Malaga, with cruises departing on November 29, January 3 and 24, February 14 and March 2 and 28.


There will also be a nine-day itinerary cruise departing on December 19 for Christmas.


The Western Mediterranean itineraries include an 11-day sailing to  Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy; Carthage, Tunisia; Palermo, Sicily, Italy; Naples, Italy; Civitavecchia, Italy; Livorno, Italy; Palma, Majorca, Spain; and Barcelona, Spain, which will be offered on January 13, February 3 and 24, 2016.


On December 9, 2015, and April 7, 2016, Epic will sail two 10-day Western Mediterranean itineraries that visit Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy; Carthage, Tunisia; Palermo, Sicily, Italy; Naples, Italy; Civitavecchia, Italy; and Livorno, Italy.


There will also be a six-day New Year’s sailing from Barcelona on December 28, 2015, calling in Civitavecchia, Italy; Naples, Italy and Palma, Majorca, Spain.
