Princess Cruises brings forward 10% commission plans

Princess Cruises has brought forward its plans to offer 10% commission on flights.

At the end of last month the cruise line revealed it was introducing commission on flights for bookings for 2015 sailings.

But today the line announced that from tomorrow air commission will be offered across the 2014 and 2015 programme.

Princess said the decision had been made in response to the “overwhelming positive travel agent feedback”.

Alex White, head of sales at Princess, said: “We are delighted to confirm that a 10% commission on new air bookings will now apply to all of our cruises from Tuesday.

“We have decided to offer this in light of the incredible positive feedback we have received from agents following our announcement that the 10% rate would apply on 2015 bookings.

“As part of our recent series of announcements we said we would listen and act on the feedback we get, so this demonstrates it’s a promise we’re taking seriously.

“We now hope that agents will have even more reason to recommend our fly cruises to the wealth of destinations we serve, including the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Americas.”
