SABRE has established a European development centre in Swindon and has taken on 29 former Galileo International staff to work there.
Galileo International announced in January that it was to lay off 250 of its staff from its European headquarters in Swindon because it planned to centralise product development at its offices in Denver, Colorado. The new office will open next week.
ASabre spokesman said staff will be employed to develop and adjust products for the European market, which needs a different style of product from Sabre’s US clients.
The centre will also concentrate on developing new technology tools for its airline clients. Fifteen new staff will be appointed in the next few months.
