Flybe introduces ‘new era’ with brand revamp

A new-look website and renamed fare options are part of a brand revamp by Flybe.

In a move described by the carrier as marking “the beginning of a new era’, Europe’s largest regional airline has introduced an on-time guarantee.

The ‘60:60’ guarantee comes with a pledge that if a flight arrives more than 60 minutes late due to a delay within Flybe’s control, passengers will qualify for a £60 voucher towards their next flight as long as they book within 60 days.

The changes are being highlighted in TV advertising featuring cabin crew in new purple uniforms.

The range of fares have also been renamed: ‘Just Fly’ replaces ‘Essentials’; ‘Get More’ is the previous ‘New Economy’ and ‘All In’ is the former ‘Plus’ ticket choice.

A new strapline “From A to Flybe” is being introduced as part of the changes to demonstrate how speedily the carrier can transport passengers to a destination in a bid to appeal to road and rail users.

The airline’s summer schedule cover 126 routes, including nine which are new, and more than 2,600 flights a week.

Chief commercial officer Paul Simmons said: “As an airline we are dedicated to continuously looking at ways to improve as a business.

“Our brand refresh is a significant step forward for us as we move to become the UK’s local airline of choice with a focus on time-saving and punctual travel for regional customers.

“Purple is not just our new brand colour – it reflects our passion for delivering on our commitment to being the ‘Fastest Way from A to Flybe’.”
