Police appeal for information after travel agency robbery

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a travel agency in Yorkshire.

It is the second such incident at the Thomson branch in Horsforth in the space of three weeks.

Two female members of staff were threatened on Tuesdya afternoon by a man with a knife who demanded they open the safe.

The safe was on a time delay and could not be opened immediately so he took a substantial amount of cash from a till. This included US dollars, euros and sterling, ITV reported.

He left the shop and ran off.

The man was described as white, about 5ft 10ins tall, stocky and aged in his mid thirties to early forties. He was wearing a black fleece jacket, grey or sandy cargo pants and white trainers.

He also wore a black woolly hat, black fleece gloves and had a black fleece scarf covering the lower part of this face.

Detectives are looking at whether the incident is linked to a similar robbery at the agency on March 11.
