EasyJet boss to speak at GTMC conference

EasyJet chief executive Carolyn McCall has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at this year’s Guild of Travel Management Companies’ annual overseas conference.

The former Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year will share her wealth of business experience in a speaking session at the event in Marrakech on May 31-June 2.

The GTMC plans to announce additional speakers in the coming weeks as it finalises this year’s conference programme entitled ‘Investment, Innovation and People’.

Sessions on the importance of cultural differences in international business, attracting and retaining young people in the industry and what the business traveller of the future will look like will be included in the two-day programme.

Guild chief executive Paul Wait said: “Given her exceptional background and proven track record in both the media and travel industry, securing the talents of Carolyn McCall is a real coup for us.

“I look forward to her session and I’m sure that she’ll deliver a high impact and memorable discussion that will leave both members and partners inspired by the insights she will provide.”
