An Emirates Airbus A380 superjumbo will fly from Glasgow to Dubai today (Thursday) in a one-off commemoration of the airline’s 10 years of operating from the Scottish airport.
This will be the first time that an airport in Scotland airport has welcomed a commercial A380 service.
The aircraft is due to land at 12.35 and depart from Dubai at 3.35pm.
The airline plans to open a new lounge at Glasgow airport this summer to mark the decade of operations.
The Emirates lounge is due to open in time for the Commonwealth Games in July and August.
The opening will create up 21 new jobs and generate increased business with local suppliers.
