P&O and Cunard target agents in summer sales push

Weekly prizes for agents throughout May and June are being offered in a summer sales push by P&O Cruises and Cunard.

Prizes for agents making bookings over the two months include eight pairs of tickets to the Hampton Court Flower Show, Henley Regatta tickets, a day on a luxury yacht for an agent and 10 friends, spa days and shopping vouchers.

A range of incentives is also being promoted to consumers including free drinks, onboard spending money, port car parking and coach transfers.

The promotion is designed to encourage bookings between today (May 1) and June 30 for departures until March 2015.

Sales and distribution support director Chris Truscott (pictured) said: “Last year over 50% of passengers we booked in May and June travelled over the summer months. So we want to maximise on this booking trend and make sure both agents and customers are well looked after in this key selling period.

“With this campaign, it has never been easier or more rewarding for agents and customers to book a summer holiday with us.

“For agents there are plenty of prizes to win from Pimms to shopping sprees, and for customers there are lots of extra benefits from ‘drinks on us’ packages to accommodation upgrades. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

He added: “Most importantly, this is another initiative driven by agent feedback through our Agent Matters programme. Agents are hugely important to us and we want to maintain our support through campaigns such as this.”
