Former Teletext Holidays managing director Victoria Sanders is to spearhead the commercial development of travel at News UK, leaving her position at phone number finder 118 118 which she joined in July 2013.
As head of travel she will lead the business development for all travel products, promotions and offers across The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Times Travel Magazine and The Sun, as well as their respective customer loyalty programmes, Times+ and Sun+.
Her primary focus will be to deliver a comprehensive ecommerce strategy for the business and its titles, News UK announced.
This includes building new digital platforms to maximise advertising and other commercial opportunities and capitalising on the loyalty of the brands and their readership data.
News UK business development director Neil Martin said: “Our titles are renowned for offering great travel offers and trusted advice to our loyal customers.
“Now is right to build on the strong bonds developed with our readers and Victoria brings extensive experience combining in-depth understanding of the travel market with an impressive track record of marketing travel products through both traditional and digital channels.”
