Continued confidence in the high street has been demonstrated by Hays Travel with the opening of two new branches in its heartland of the northeast of England.
The outlets in Hexham and Darlington bring the total branch network to 45 under the Hays retail umbrella.
This follows the acquisition of 60-branch Bath Travel, the largest independent travel agency in the south, in October last year.
Head of Hays Retail Paula Barrett said: “We are delighted to have opened two new retail branches in Darlington and Hexham town centres, both having had very successful starts. We also have a further new branch opening in the coming weeks.
“As a company, we are very positive about, and committed to, the future of the high street and will continue to look for new opportunities not only to strengthen our brand even further in the north east but also on the south coast where our recently acquired Bath Travel branches are located.”
