French ski and summer resort accommodation operator Pierre & Vacances is to close its UK office at the end of June as it relocates all its business operations back to Paris.
The move affects three people, including UK sales and marketing director Cathy Rankin. Rankin is expected to remain with the company although is still in discussions about her new role. It is expected there will be one redundancy.
Rankin told Travel Weekly the company had a new commercial director based in Paris, Laurent Curuchet, who was “streamlining the business to give greater efficiencies and make P&V more effective”.
Tiffany Francois, who has previously worked in the UK office, has been assigned as sales manager for the UK, based in Paris.
Rankin added: “This will make it much easier for us to focus on our premium accommodation in the likes of Avoriaz and Arc 1950, as the business diversifies away from its traditional two and three-star product.
“By having everything together we will create greater synergies and be closer to the decision-makers in Paris,” she said.
Rankin confirmed the Zurich office was also closing.
