Virgin Holidays has opened a store in Westfield Shopping Centre in west London.
The operator’s latest store is a concession outlet within the Debenhams department store in the shopping centre.
Head of southern sales Darren Hunter said: “With stores already open at Bluewater and Lakeside, we are thrilled to be expanding our retail operations within major UK shopping centres in the London area.”
New managing director Mark Anderson recently told Travel Weekly that expansion of the operator’s retail network was on the cards but stressed the roll out of new stores needed to be balanced and profitable.
The operator currently has more than 100 stores, mostly concession-based outlets in department stores such as House of Fraser, Debenhams, Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
