EasyJet to resume Tel Aviv flights

EasyJet is resuming flights to and from Tel Aviv after a ban on airlines flying to the city’s main international airport was lifted by US and European aviation regulators.

The budget carrier said safety and security remained its highest priority, but following safety regulators advice in the US and Europe it would be operating flights to Israel once again.

The airline said: “The safety and security of easyJet’s passengers and crew is the airline’s highest priority. ‎

“Due to the FAA lifting its instruction to all United States airlines to suspend their flights to Israel, and the European safety regulator EASA following suit, easyJet will operate its services to and from Tel Aviv as scheduled from Friday 25 July.

“EasyJet will also operate one return flight this afternoon between London Gatwick and Tel Aviv. ‎

“EasyJet will continue to monitor the safety advice on travel to and from Tel Aviv from all relevant authorities.”

The airline flies to Tel Aviv from the UK, Switzerland, Germany and Italy.
