Regent Seven Seas Cruises urges agents to get customers rebooking on board

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is urging agents to encourage their customers to rebook while on board as the line prepares to carry a record number of UK passengers this summer.

Ben Smith, the line’s trade marketing manager, said Regent had an “unprecedented number of UK passengers sailing in the coming months” and urged agents not to miss a commission-earning opportunity. The line pays the same rate of commission to the agent who made the initial booking if a customer rebooks.

“We have done this for a while now, but we haven’t really shouted about it and it is a great opportunity for agents,” he said.

“Having so many passengers this summer provides us with a great opportunity and we want our agents to help capitalise on that by highlighting that customers can rebook during the cruise. It’s a win for the agent who is earning more commission and a win for us.”

The Book Onboard and Save Programme gives passengers access to bonus savings and a reduced deposit of 7.5%.

Agents can also follow up with their clients for up to 45 days after disembarkation, with the customer qualifying for savings of up to £100 and the agent earning £65 bonus commission.
