SAS has become the latest airline to switch operations to the new Heathrow Terminal 2: The Queen’s Terminal.
The airline marked the return – it was one of six airlines operating from the original Queen’s building in 1955 – by releasing “thousands” of low fare seats to Scandinavia for travel this winter.
Prices lead in at £102 return to Oslo with offers also available on routes from Heathrow to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Gothenburg and Stavanger.
Bookings must be made by Monday (September 15) for travel between October1 and March 31, 2015.
More than 4,000 passengers departed and arrived with SAS across 42 flights yesterday, its first day of operating from the new terminal, compared to 24 flights a day from Heathrow in 1955.
Passengers on the first SAS flight to depart the new terminal flew on a retro-painted Airbus A319 to Copenhagen.
