Royal Caribbean reveals Mastercard agent loyalty scheme

Royal Caribbean International has launched a new agent loyalty scheme, Club Royal, in partnership with Mastercard.

The line believes a prepaid card is a simple, fast and flexible way to earn rewards for bookings.

Ben Bouldin, director of sales UK and Ireland, said the scheme reflected the lines “ongoing commitment” to the trade.

Agents will earn £5 on every booking which will be loaded straight onto the card to be used immediately but they can only sign up for the incentive scheme once four bookings have been made and the captain level status has been reached on training programme Cruising for Excellence.

Once registered agents will earn £20 for the four bookings they’ve already made.

Those signed up to the scheme will also get access to other benefits such as Red Letter Days, bonuses for bookings and access to exclusive Loyalty Events such as a trip to Paris, a VIP night at the Brit Awards and a sailing for two on Quantum of the Seas which launches in November.

Bouldin added: “We are so excited to be bringing this industry-first to our valued travel partners. Club Royal offers easy enrolment, instant rewards and exclusive benefits for club members.

“It’s fast, simple and flexible and agents joining this exciting new club will be in the enviable position of having complete freedom in how to spend their rewards.

“One of our most exciting seasons to date is fast approaching and the opportunities to sell have never been better. The new club will give us a great opportunity to reward our loyal partners and also engage with agents who don’t yet work with us.”

The dual branded Royal Caribbean Mastercard cards will be available to agents from September 24. MyClubRoyal.co.uk
