Celebrity Cruises’ Rzymowska is top travel boss in LGBT business list

Celebrity Cruises UK managing director Jo Rzymowska has been named on the list of top 100 LGBT people in business.

The list, published by the Financial Times, is compiled by non-profit networking group OUTstanding in Business, a group which campaigns for LGBT rights in the workplace.

Rzymowska was number 38 on the list and the highest ranking person from the travel industry.

Andrew Williams-Fry, chief economist at Gatwick Airport ranked 42 on the list; Jonathan Midenhall, chief marketing officer at Airbnb came in at 44, and Sadiq Gillani, senior vice president and chief strategy officer at Lufthansa was listed at number 57.

Burberry’s Christopher Bailey topped the list. Also among the top 100 were Facebook’s Alex Schultz and retail marketing consultant Mary Portas.

It is OUTstanding’s second annual list of executives and it has doubled in length this year.

Suki Sandhu, OUTstanding’s founder, said: “We asked what nominees had done inside and outside the workplace to make it more welcoming to LGBT individuals and looked for information about the candidate’s influence within the business as well as recent significant achievements.

“We favoured people who were active in inclusion as well as movers and shakers.”
