BUDGET UK LIFTS PROFILE WITH JASMOR PURCHASE
Budget UK has acquired British rental company Jasmor for an undisclosed sum. The deal adds 2,400 vehicles, mainly Fords, and 14 locations to Budget’s UK operation, creating a network of more than 140 rental outlets and 16,000 vehicles. Budget said it will keep the Jasmor brand.
DOLLAR SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH SIXT
Dollar has signed a deal to provide Sixt’s car rental in the US. Under the agreement, Dollar’s alliance with Europcar, signed last year, will end in early 2000. Europcar said it is in talks but has not finalised a new US partner.
EUROPCAR EXTENDS PERFORMANCE CHOICE
Europcar has a new range of performance cars at its Victoria Station site in London. The fleet, including the new Jaguar S-Type, Mercedes models, and the Porsche Boxter 2.5, is aimed at clients celebrating a special occasion and overseas visitors.
