JURYS Doyle Hotel Group has reported a 17% increase in turnover to £69.84m for the year up to April 30 and a rise in pre-tax profits of 18.7% to £19.33m. The figures exclude Doyle which only merged with Jurys in April.
The financial results come as the hotel group managing director Peter Malone announced plans for raising the profile of the Dublin hotelier’s image in the UK and the US following Jurys acquisition of the Doyle group. The merger will provide Jurys with its first presence in the US as Doyle owns three hotels in Washington DC.
Malone said: “We would like to build our presence in London and go to other parts of the UK, such as Coventry, if we can get the right location.”
He added that he expected to add key US cities to the group’s portfolio of hotels.
