AMERICANExpress staff have gone overboard on behalf of car-rental giant Avis.
The hire firm got together with Amex at Nottingham’s National Water Sports Centre for a day of inflatable fun – and a bit of team building for each other.
Unfortunately for Nikki Mehigan of Amex, her enthusiasm got the better of her and in she went.
Luckily she was the only one, despite colleagues, who formed the Croydon Crusaders and Maidenhead Movers teams, volunteering to tackle the site’s rapids course.
Backchat’s spy tells us it turned into more of a wet T-shirt contest than a rafting race, but everyone did seem to have a lot of fun anyway. Well, probably the boys more than the girls.
Avis national account manager Emma Lavington was so taken with the day she is looking forward to the nextchallenge.
This was all in spite of her final comment that all concerned emerged from the depths looking exactly like drowned rats.
