Australian-owned travel wholesaler Excite Holidays is expanding into the UK and other parts of Europe with wholesale and web services channels.
The company’s product portfolio – which includes 250,000 hotels and apartments, 5,500 activities and transfer services – is being made available to travel agents in sterling and euros through the exciteholidays.com booking platform and to other wholesalers via an XML connection.
Excite Holidays was founded in 2002 and is now recognised as one of the most successful independent travel wholesalers in Australasia.
Offices in Sydney, Bangkok, London and Athens make it possible for the company to service travel consultants around the clock.
Chief executive, George Papaioannou, said: “Our decision to venture into the European market is based on the exceptionally high demand for our wholesale and web services products on a global scale.
“We’ll be using the same engaging, creative and customer-focused philosophy that has made us successful in Australia and New Zealand and applying it around the world – Europe is the next logical step.”
The company is exhibiting at World Travel Market for the first time this week.
