A flexible new web fare structure has been introduced by Air Transat to allow economy class passengers to make changes and cancel for a fee up until the day of departure.
Three fare levels have been unveiled by the Canadian leisure carrier, which is expended its transatlantic network next year with a summer-only service between Gatwick and St John’s in Newfoundland.
Eco provides the best available rate but with no flexibility and fares are non-refundable.
Eco Extra is described as an affordable rate offering the flexibility to make changes or cancel for a fee.
Eco Max is the fare with the most flexibility, allowing changes and cancellations for a fee up to day of departure.
The airline will also be increasing frequencies on other routes from Gatwick to Canada for summer 2015 following strong demand this year, adding another service to Toronto giving 10 flights a week, Vancouver rising to six weekly flights and Montreal to twice weekly.
