Two new Broadway shows and a Cavern Club-themed venue have been unveiled for Norwegian Epic, which will be based year-round in Barcelona from April 30, 2015.
The headline shows are Burn the Floor and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert – The Musical, while the Cavern Club venue is based on the original Liverpool night club where the Beatles made their name.
Drew Madsen, Norwegian Cruise Line president and chief operating officer, said: “These new world-class entertainment offerings, along with Norwegian Epic’s innovative accommodation and plethora of dining options, are the perfect combination for the European cruise market.”
Ballroom dancing show Burn The Floor has received rave reviews on Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway, and is being redesigned for European guests. It will make its debut on the transatlantic voyage departing April 19, 2015.
Based on the Oscar-winning movie, Priscilla Queen Of The Desert – The Musical will open on the voyage which starts on October 18.
The new entertainment venue has been created thanks to a partnership with the owners of Liverpool’s The Cavern Club, and each evening will feature the sounds of the Beatles, along with other international musicians.
The Cavern Club will debut on the October 11 sailing.
The 4,100-passenger ship will be the largest Norwegian Cruise Line ship to ever home port in Europe year-round.
