Barrhead Travel strikes exclusive deal with Turkish Airlines

Exclusive Turkish Airlines branding has been introduced by Barrhead Travel across its Edinburgh stores to raise awareness of the carrier’s flights from Scotland.

Outlets in the St James Shopping Centre and on Queensferry Road feature messaging about the airline, while the store in The Gyle shopping centre also features a special Turkish Airlines advice and booking area.

The branding has been introduced as part of a closer collaboration between the travel group and airline involving bespoke travel packages and exclusive rates using flights from Edinburgh to Istanbul and onwards to more than 200 international destinations.

Barrhead Travel chief executive, Sharon Munro (pictured), said: “We’re delighted to be further growing our relationship with Turkish Airlines. It’s been a very successful partnership for us so far. Turkish Airlines provides a quality product which Barrhead Travel is pleased to showcase in our Edinburgh stores.

“Introducing this branding to our Edinburgh stores will help us to raise awareness of the service we’re providing, as partners, to our customers.

“As an award-winning travel agent, it makes perfect sense for us to be joining forces with an award-winning, world renowned airline, and we are certain that working so closely together will continue to bring us fantastic results.”

Serhat Sari, general manager of Turkish Airlines Scotland said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Turkish Airlines and we are excited about developing our relationship with Barrhead Travel even further.

“The branding across the stores will help raise the awareness of Turkish Airlines. We currently fly to 261 destinations in 108 countries and have a fleet of 263 aircraft.

“Barrhead Travel has won numerous awards and is growing at an incredible rate. That’s why it makes sense to link up with a travel agent whose aspirations match our own.”
